Photo story: Easter Chaos part IV

I'm not fully returning to the blog-world, but since it's Easter I wanted to post my little Easter Chaos photo story. I started doing the Easter Chaos stories in 2013 and only missed last year due to some personal issues. This year I got back on track even though it was quite a task. It was a warm day, so I got a bit sweaty, the dolls kept falling as I walked between the table and the camera, and the daylight kept changing. I got the photos thought and somewhat saved them the best I could with Photoshop. There are things I'm not a 100% satisfied with, but that's usual for me and at least I got the photos and posted them.

There is a red thread between the Easter Chaos stories, but you can still read them on their own. Here are links to the previous stories, if anyone might want to read those too.

#ProBJDArtists 2015

I started brainstorming for the #ProBJDArtists day already a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to do something other than 'dolls standing with paper with text', but I've been completely empty for ideas. So in the end I went with the dolls with paper, but as a little photo story with my tinies with a bit of humour thrown in to it.

It was a mess taking these photos. Just as I had gathered the energy to start the sun disappeared behind some clouds. I decided to take the photos anyway. Then halfway through the sun decided to come back. *sighs* Furthermore I've been away from home for almost half of the day both yesterday and today so I didn't have too much time to perfect the editing.

I would have loved to write a more in-depth post about recasts and my opinion, but truth is that I'm exhausted and tired, so this will have to do. Maybe next year?

Even thought Ayla screwed a bit up, I hope hers and Isi's message is clear. ^^

Late Halloween post

The other day I felt like making a new design for my blog, but there's not much meaning in making a new design if I don't really use my blog, is there? So here I am, trying to get a bit back to blogging once again.

Last month Lise was visiting and we went to a Halloween meet together. For the occasion I wanted to put my dolls in costumes. I had a few great ideas, one of them as simple as a ghost, but as always I procrastinated to the last moment and didn't get anything done. So in the end the only one with a proper costume was Ayla as a cute little mummy. I tried putting some outfits together for the others with what I had. Takumi went as a 'gangster' (cause he's so hardcore... xD), Shay as a mori-girl and Yoonie as a witch. I also brought Isi and Thalia, but they didn't have any costumes. Sadly I didn't take many photos from the meet and apparently the only photos I did take were of Ayla, and some of Anne and Avi's dolls, haha. xD

All photos in this post are btw edited with VSCO on my phone. My laptop can't be calibrated properly and has an annoying blue tint. I have a monitor to use when I edit photos, but I was too lazy to set it up for these photos, so I thought I would try using my phone and I guess the editing turned out okay.

Inspiration from unexpected places

Long time no see! I miss blogging, but my motivation and energy is lacking. I will try my best to just be blogging once in a while, hopefully I can get up to posting at least once a month. ^^

I follow Nine9 Style on Twitter and a few weeks ago they started teasing for a scouts outfit, which has been released since then. At first I didn't think much about it, but they kept posting more photos of the outfit and at one point it just hit me: Ayla is a scout. With her energy and love for being outdoors it's almost obvious that she would be a scout. :D

Sadly the outfit is both limited and for Nine9 Style's own Bunny Nine size which is 35cm, so it wouldn't fit a YoSD.

You can even buy a backpack and a sleeping bag as extras. So cute! ♥

Have you ever tried something similar? Finding inspiration for your characters (or something else) in places you didn't expect to?

Photo story: Easter chaos part III

Two years ago I started on an Easter photo story with Isi and I've been doing my best to continue what now has become a tradition for me. I posted the first part here on my blog, but for some reason I didn't post the second one anywhere but Flickr!? Oo You can read the new one without having read the others, but they're more fun if you read all of them. ^^

This one was made in a bit of a rush. Lack of ideas, quick weird idea, too lazy to edit the photos properly.... So not the most perfect photos, but the story is there. xD

Happy Easter to all of you!!

Meme: Interview with Ayla

Another interview is done! Just two more to go. xD

Btw! I'm sorry if I'm a bit slow at replying messages and commenting on your blog posts lately. Things are going a bit better, but my energy and motivation is still pretty much non-existing. >_<

15) Would you briefly tell us your background?
Not much to say. Mummy and daddy divorced before I was 2 years. Daddy got a boyfriend, Hayden, my second daddy. He is so much fun. He is a writer and he helps me write stories about Isi. Mummy is still alone. I hope she finds a boyfriend, then I would have three daddies! So cool! Are we done? *runs off to play*

Yet another doll maker

Yup, I seriously have a weakness for these things! :3 I use way to much time making my characters in them. This time it's only my girl characters, since the boys were more troublesome to make. I don't have Ayla and Natalie home yet, but I wanted to add them anyway since it would be boring with just 3 characters.
