Sell a head... and buy a new one

A month ago I sold my Switch Milhwa head to a friend and just a week or so later I bought a new head. Yeah, there it is again! The buying heads are so much easier problem.. -.- The fun thing is that in the end it's not easier at all. You have to look for a body, it has to have the right proportions for the head and then there's the resin match. I just can't help myself. I think I need help! xD

The head I ended up buying is an OR-doll Sui. I fell in love with this head back when it was released, but I couldn't figure out how it would fit in. Since the head is limited I kept returning and finally it hit me that I maybe could use it for Nathalie, Ayla's mother. I'm not a 100% sure, but I took the change. Later stupid Lise planted the idea in my head that I also could use it for a gay male model.. >o< I don't need more new characters! Not before I've bought some of the other characters on my 'want to buy' list.. but now I just can't seem to shake the idea off me. I will do my best to resist the idea and think of the head as Nathalie though. Hopefully I won't fail.*fingers crossed* She's already in the customs, I'm just waiting for them to release her. I'll be putting her on a semi-hiatus to focus more on the dolls that are closer to be 'finished'. :D

Life, bodies and dress obsession

Hallo peeps, you remember me? I'm still alive!!

I always meant to get back into blogging, since I love it here with all you wonderful people. Life got in the way around September though when I started suffering from depression. I started seeing the doctor, went on sick leave from school and got into the psychiatry in December. So I'm in treatment which is good, but sadly I'm not seeing much effect yet. This means that some times I can barely function and the interest for my hobbies are sometimes non existing. But don't worry, I won't leave the hobby. I've made too many lovely friends, I still love my dolls and it's just a period of time I have to get through. So even though it seems impossible for me at some times, I'm doing my best to keep my hope up. It was also a big step for me to write this, but I just wanted to be open about it. My hope is to keep blogging and write at least one or two entries a month. Better start out easy, right? I also made a new layout for my blog by the way. I just needed something new and for once I'm satisfied with how it turned out.

I'm even surprised to say this myself, but in all the time I've been away from blogging I actually haven't bought any new dolls! Woohoo, that's almost a miracle, haha. To be honest I'm a little proud of myself. Usually I have a big weakness for buying heads, but I kept it to just two heads last year. Hoping to do the same this year.

So, no new dolls, but a lot of new bodies which is just great because of my problem with buying heads. I think I've gotten three new bodies since last time. First of all I received the Classy Doll 61cm body from April Story. I was unsure about who would get the body, but in the end I stuck to my plans and Yoonie got it. Then I got my hands on an Akagidoll 66cm body for Caleb and it's perfect. Just as lanky and slender as I wanted him. Last, but not least, I got a grail body of mine, a Volks SDGr body for Shay. Can I just say how much I love this body!? It's the best girl body I've ever owned. So beautiful and I love the posing. Words can't describe how happy I was when I friend of my agreed to sell it to me. ♥

Now to my dress obsession. In just a month I've bough four beautiful dresses. I was close to buying more than that, but my wallet didn't agree. First of is a knitted sweater dress from Kaleido for Shay or Yoonie. Kaleido have been releasing lots of beautiful clothes, but I usually discover this way too late when everything is sold out, so this one I just grabbed as fast as possible. Next is a dress from Odd Aristocratic for a future character. I probably won't be able to use this dress for other dolls as it's in EID size, but it's just perfect for the character. Maybe I'll do a post about her sometime. Then is my very first Volks dress. I'm so excited about this one. It'll probably go to Shay as well, maybe Olivia if she can fit it with her big boobs. Last is a dress from Dollheart. I've been in love with the dress for a long time, but it was sold out, so when it was re-released for pre-order I instantly had to get it. Another one that might go to Shay. Yeah, I have a problem with buying stuff for Shay, I know.

Latest buys IV

When buying from Taobao you will never know if an item from your order might be sold out - I've tried that a couple of times now. This order, however, was more troublesome than usual. First I screwed my order up by adding wrong items to my order, only to realize it after the order was placed - I had to get Taobaotrends to cancel it. Then two items were sold out and I had to find two replacements. Last, but not least, Taobaotrends wrote me a message, after I had paid the order, saying that the Vings urethane eyes in my order had a waiting time on up to 4 months - new replacement. Hopefully nothing more will go wrong with this order now. xD

All of the clothes is from the seller GreenTIME and I can't express enough how much I love their clothes. It fits perfect for my characters. I might do a review of them someday.

• Standard black pants for Hayden.
• Cute pink pants for most of my girls, but probably most for Shay. xD
• Pants with awesome print for Charlie. She will look so funky in these pants!
• A suit for Hayden. I don't think he would use pants, but I'll just combine with the black pair and I think I can use the pants from this set to Keegan.
• Green sweater for Takumi. I already tried to buy this, but got the shirt instead - turns out the Chinese characters for the two things was really similar and I chose the wrong one. -.-
• Super duper adorable wig for Ayla. Funny enough the wig is portrayed on a Volks Kanon. xD
• Lovely shirt that I think most of my girls can used if I combine it correctly. 

I also placed a small order from Horusdoll earlier this month with a pair of white heels and a black wig for Hayden. It's the third wig I've bought for him so I really hope this one won't be disappointing!

There's a few updates in my resin crew as well - I'll do a post on that soonish.

I might be a Switch-aholic...

Sooo, Switch just had an event called CATCH ME IF YOU CAN that I just had to participate in. As usual they would sell a number of their limited heads and this time it was Ryun:R, Uhui:R and Seolrok. All three sculpts are lovely, but Ryun:R is one of my absolute favourite Switch sculpts, and even though I had a few fuck-ups when I tried to buy him two hours ago I was still lucky to get him. I couldn't be more happy. ♥
This is the third event in a row from Switch that I participate in and you would think that I would be done with buying Switch by now, but they still have more sculpts I like and want. xD Hopefully they won't be releasing any of those sculpts in their next few events, I need a break!

I'm still not sure what I will use the head for since I got confused by looking at owner photos of him. Maybe he would do a great Tyler (Charlie's boyfriend), maybe a better Takumi (but I also love my IOS Anos as Takumi) or maybe even a new character? I'll see what I feel for when I get him home. Right now I'm just too confused. D:

I've been working on an entry on how my 2013 went, but I haven't been much at the computer since before Christmas. Maybe I can finish it later today and publish it tomorrow and if not I'll just publish it in the new year. :)

Latest buys III

I've been buying a lot of dolly stuff lately. The two first are Taobao orders, where the first was shipped last week and the other one was received by TaobaoTrends today, so it'll also be shipped soon. :D

• A cute set for Eli. First I thought that it only was the jacket that was for sale, but apparently it's a set. I'll be getting some other pants since these were sold out. 
• A wig for Eli. It was totally not what I was looking for, but I just had to get it when I saw it. Hope it'll look good on Eli. :3
• Snake skin shoes for my girls (first ones). They're so simple, yet so pretty.
• Chopper hat (One Piece) for.. Isi?? It was just so cute that I had to get it. ._.
• A skirt for Eli. I have a thing for tutu skirts.

• A simple shirt that I think can be used for most of my dolls. But I saw a cute combination from rRabits shop with a doll wearing the black shirt with this shirt over it, which could be great for Hayden. 
• A black shirt that probably will be used most by Hayden, but my other boys can use it too. 
• Cute shoes for Shay. 
• Pants for.. I'm actually not sure who'll be able to fit these, but luckily they can be used by most of my boys. 
• A blue scarf for most of my dolls.
• New wig for Hazuki. I wanted a new wig for him in a brown that was closer to a Japanese brown hair colour than the one he has now. Hope I can get used to a new wig for him. ö

Okay, these last things are a bit of a mix and changes from my last 'Latest buys' post.
I forgot to pay for the Taobao order I placed with a wig and shoes for Melissa (and other things), so I asked TaobaoTrends to cancel it since some of the small things I ordered were sold out. So I placed the order again and added the cute glasses.
In the Tata's Paradise order I got a message that the jacket I bought for Trent were sold out in the size I wanted. So instead I wanted those two last adorable dresses and since I had no tops to use under I also bought the top in the first row.

Latest buys II

I just felt like sharing a few of the things I've bought recently. First is my Taobao order from two weeks ago. Click on the pictures to get to their sale pages.

• A wig for Melissa. The one she has now is too big on her head. It will be her default wig for now, but sometime I want a lot of different wigs for her as she's the type of person who change hair style and colour often. 
• Shoes for Melissa. More of my girls can use these shoes, but as a start they're for Melissa. Originally I wanted long boots for her, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.
• A wine/champagne (?) bottle in ice with two glasses. This can be used for several things for my dolls. Melissa is a bartender and Trent just drinks to much. xD
• A ring for Charlie. Since Lise also bought this ring, I know that it won't fit on any of my girls right now. Hopefully it will when Charlie gets a SD16 body sometime.
• I also bought stockings for my girls in 8 different colours. 

I also placed a little Tata's Paradise order on the European dealer Boulevard bjd last week.

• A microphone for Shay. This is the main reason that I placed this order. Shay is the singer in my band so this is just too perfect. I actually placed another Tata order a while ago where they had another microphone for sale and just a few days after I had placed my order and the pre-order had ended, they released this new microphone. So of course I had to buy from them again. 
• A jacket for Trent. Now I just realized that the black leather on the arms is a part of the jacket and not a part of the gloves as I though. I hope this won't bug me when I receive the jacket cause I really love the rest of it. 
• A note book. Just because I can't get enough pops. xD
• A mask... I absolutely have no real use for this. I just loved it too much to pass up on it. Might be able to use it for Trent for some band pictures? 

Last, but not least, I bought this beautiful dress designed by Turbow and sewn by LittleModa. It's made for the Volks SD16 body, which means that I don't have any doll that can fit the dress yet. It's just such a beautiful dress, so I needed it. I can use for so many of my girls. I can pick it up at the post office tomorrow, now I'm just sad that I can't use it any of my girls yet. ._.

Latest buys

A few weeks ago I placed a little Taobao order from TaobaoTrends. They received my order today and are ready to ship it out. ^^ These things are what I ordered along with a fifth thing, but I will keep that a secret for now. 

1. A wig for Ethan since he doesn't have one. I wouldn't have minded a little more curly and carrot wig, but that's just not easy to find.
2. These are actually a pair of male pants, but I really hope they will fit on a girl. They are so perfect for Charlie. If they don't fit then I think Ethan maybe could use them.
3. White pants which can be used by more of my characters especially Ethan and Takumi.
4. This is also for males, but hopefully Melissa can fit it. I think this blue colour will look so good on her. If not then I'm also sure my other characters can use it. 
5. And as I said earlier I also bought a fifth thing. It's for a future character who I actually don't plan on getting any time soon. But I am thinking of using if for some out of character shoot with one of my dolls. :D
