Bye 2013 and hello 2014

I had actually already written a post about my 2013, but it was just so much text. Too much text. I have realized that my blog is more about the photos than about the text, so I wanted to do a shorter version.

My 2013 went really great. I kept over half of my resolutions and ended up with 4 new heads and 6 new bodies. Most of those bodies were only bought as temporary bodies to get less floating heads and what a mistake that was. I've realized that I would much rather let my dolls share bodies, than have a lot of bad to mediocre bodies around.

 Charlie was the only head received in 2013 who got a face-up same year.
I got re-focused on my SDs, actually so much that I've kinda neglected my tinies for most of the year. But I'm glad that I found my love for SDs again and I'm so happy with my doll family as it is now.

 Isi was the only tiny that got attention, but only for 3 shoots, which isn't much compared with earlier years.
2013 was also the year were I finally learned how to buy from Taobao. Both a good and bad thing for my wallet. xD I've ended up with a lot of great buys (SD16 heels ♥), but also a few disappointing buys (mostly wigs actually).

  This dress was bought in my very first Taobao order.
My resolutions for 2014:

• Get face-ups on at least 3 of my blank heads.
• Buy new wig for Charlie, Trent, Takumi, Hayden and/or Melissa.
• Buy more urethane eyes.
• Buy more clothes for Hayden, Olivia, Trent, Ethan, Melissa and/or Charlie. 
• Buy more bodies. I hope I can afford at least 2.
• Try to avoid the temptation of buying more heads. If I can't then I hope it won't be more than 2 heads. xD
• Take photos of my dolls more often and learn that it doesn't have to be a whole shoot every time. Sometimes one or two shots are okay.
• Practice wig cutting/styling.

Blown away by Fairyland

Okay, this isn't primarily for sharing the news of the new MNFs, cause I'm sure most of you have already seen them. I'm just so blown away by the photos that I wanted to share. What a perfect and beautiful setting. T^T At first I just thought it was a backdrop with a few leaves and branches in the front, but the more photos I looked though, the more I realized that it was a complete setting with moss, small trees, roses, EVERYTHING... So perfect!
I wish I could do something similar for Isi and Eli, but I think it would be a too big project and I definitely wouldn't have the space for it.

Also.. someday I want to buy an MSD to use as a project doll, meaning that I can use her for what I have in mind, and I might just have added the girl, Rin, to my wishlist. :3

I'm a little behind on everything. *lazyness* Hopefully I will have the 'what happened in 2013' and 'resolutions for 2014' posts ready. I also started on the A Doll A Week challenge, so I also have a few shots to share. Oooh, why must I be so lazy? ._.

I might be a Switch-aholic...

Sooo, Switch just had an event called CATCH ME IF YOU CAN that I just had to participate in. As usual they would sell a number of their limited heads and this time it was Ryun:R, Uhui:R and Seolrok. All three sculpts are lovely, but Ryun:R is one of my absolute favourite Switch sculpts, and even though I had a few fuck-ups when I tried to buy him two hours ago I was still lucky to get him. I couldn't be more happy. ♥
This is the third event in a row from Switch that I participate in and you would think that I would be done with buying Switch by now, but they still have more sculpts I like and want. xD Hopefully they won't be releasing any of those sculpts in their next few events, I need a break!

I'm still not sure what I will use the head for since I got confused by looking at owner photos of him. Maybe he would do a great Tyler (Charlie's boyfriend), maybe a better Takumi (but I also love my IOS Anos as Takumi) or maybe even a new character? I'll see what I feel for when I get him home. Right now I'm just too confused. D:

I've been working on an entry on how my 2013 went, but I haven't been much at the computer since before Christmas. Maybe I can finish it later today and publish it tomorrow and if not I'll just publish it in the new year. :)

I actually had these photos edited a while back, but I really wasn't satisfied with the result. All of my usual editing methods just didn't look good with the black in Shay's hair and the shadows in the shots. So for a while I decided to forget about these photos. Then I searched for some editing tutorials on Youtube the other day and I found a method that worked perfect! So have some photos of my beautiful Shay. She looks so good in every wig I try on her, which is very good since she's a model. xD
